Also copain means friend in French, but also literally means person you share your bread with and I think that's beautiful!

Flavour 4/5 I had the pain chok and the croissant bretzel: I am super impressed. The bretzel croissant was savoury but not too salty, perfect layered texture. The pain chok had SO much delicious chocolate in it. Affordability 2/5 Paid €4.10 for the pain chok, €3.90 for the croissant bretzel, and patisseries were around the €8 mark. Save this for a special occasion. Je ne sais quoi 4/5 I was most impressed by how kind and helpful the staff were, and beauty of the pastries.

Flavour: 5/5 Wow. I picked up a fantastic olive bread from here, AND a brioche au chocolat that blew my mind, delicious dark chocolate inside. Affordability: 4/5 Everything is artisanal and very high quality, so it is worth the slightly elevated price, I paid €8 for both bread and brioche. Je ne sais quoi: 3/5 Hidden away, in the 20e, on a street that doesn't have much else, but a cute little spot with an open kitchen!

But it's right in the jardin du Palais Royal so makes sense. Je ne sais quoi: 5/5 This is of the best parts of Paris: Palais Royal. The garden is perfect to walk around in with a croissant and coffee so you can get yours here.

Je ne sais quoi: 5/5 Its pink interiors are adorable, but the real winner is the terrace, with its little olive trees, which is bathed in sun in summer.

Flavour: 4/5 I had the zaatar croissant and it was unreal. Wow. Possibly the best savoury croissant I've eaten? The texture is good, the flavour is PERFECT. Affordability: 5/5 €1.40 for a fancy zaatar croissant which was astonishing - usually the specialty croissants are much more. Je ne sais quoi: 5/5 Nothing crazy about the bakery, but I was today years old when I learnt that Nicolas Flamel was a real person and his house is still standing right here in Paris, 2 doors down from this bakery. Mind blown.

Standing alone in a small park off the Rue de Rivoli, this 54-meter flamboyant Gothic tower is all that remains of the 16th-century church of Saint-Jacques-de-la-Boucherie. Housed in two spectacular mansions (Hôtel Carnavalet and Hôtel Le Peletier de Saint Fargeau) in the heart of the Marais, this is the oldest municipal museum in Paris. It is dedicated to the history of the city, from prehistory to the present day, showcasing its evolution through art, furniture, and historical artifacts.

One of Paris’s most magnificent private museums. It was the lavish 19th-century home of Édouard André and Nélie Jacquemart, who spent their lives traveling Europe to amass a world-class collection of Italian Renaissance art, 18th-century French paintings, and Flemish masters.

One of the most elegant and unusual parks in Paris, Parc Monceau was originally created in the late 18th century as a "folly" garden for the Duke of Chartres. It is famous for its eclectic architectural ornaments, including a miniature Egyptian pyramid, a Roman colonnade, and various statues of famous French figures (such as Chopin and Maupassant).

On Tripadvisor, a Canadian lady summarized it very well: “Although it will never have a Michelin star, Bouillon Pigalle is a very good value for money”. So, if you are staying in Montmartre, or even a bit further away, give it a go!

Overall, I like going to Chartier: good food at very reasonable prices and a wonderful atmosphere in this superb Belle Époque room. But expect to queue!

If you’re looking for a great, budget-friendly spot right next to the Marais neighborhood, now you know where to head! I had there a very enjoyable meal,which was definitely a fantastic bargain!

La Coupole isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a living piece of Parisian history. With its stunning Art Deco dining room, fantastic food, lively atmosphere, and impeccable service, it has everything you could wish for. Honestly, I couldn’t find a single flaw.

The décor? Stunning. The food? Very good. The service? Friendly and attentive. The downside? Definitely pricey. But for the full experience — it’s totally worth it!

In a neighborhood with very limited touristic interest, Le Café du Commerce not only proposes a food that is timeless, plentiful, and unpretentious, with prices that remain reasonable, but I'm in love with the ambiance, with its splendid Art Deco décor, abundant greenery, and natural light.

Au Pied de Cochon may seem a bit pricey, but considering the excellent dinner featuring high-quality cuisine and the sheer pleasure it brings, it's undoubtedly worth it.

I love brasseries. And, to me, Vaudeville is clearly one of the best brasseries in Paris. The food, the décor, the ambiance, it is so enjoyable and Paris typical.

"If you like pretty decor, luxurious table service and refined dishes... then the Petit Vendôme is not for you. But if you want to visit a real traditional Parisian bistro with good traditional dishes, then come to the Petit Vendôme. Just remember to book in advance!"

If you're looking to experience a truly Parisian atmosphere, unpretentious yet filled with deliciously simple food, then Chez Léon is the place for you! The restaurant is one of the only 3 restaurants in Paris to be part of the quintessentially rural French chain "Les Routiers". THere you're sure to eat all the great classics of French everyday food: egg mayonnaise, andouillette, Boeuf Bourguignon...

The Gladines chain of restaurants is known for its excellent value for money. Food here is basque-style oriented and you get very generous portions for a very reasonable price. This branch is perfect for lunch on the terrace in a neighborhood with far too many touristy restaurants.

"Bistrot Victoires is hard to beat: excellent value for money, friendly service, and a warm, lively atmosphere. No real drawbacks. The food is good — not outstanding, but solid enough."

The food is simple but really well done, and the place has a very local vibe. And being inside of one of Paris' great passages is a big plus.

Au Moulin à Vent offers good food — the eggs mayonnaise in particular — and there’s really nothing to criticise. It’s a solid bistrot, one I’d gladly revisit if I were nearby, but not one I’d cross Paris for.

A l'Ami Pierre really delivers on the essentials: ... a super friendly atmosphere, tasty starters, and an absolutely excellent entrecôte, and a little bonus with that Calvados offered at the end! On the downside, the dining room is definitely a bit cramped,

Chez Georges really impressed me: excellent dishes, warm and efficient service, and a pleasant atmosphere that isn’t too noisy. It is expensive, but honestly, it’s worth it.

This century-old department store has a steel-frame art nouveau glass dome ringed by loggias. You’ll find top fashion labels, perfumes, and even a huge gourmet food section. Even if you’re not into shopping, the rooftop terrace has one of the best free views of Paris, perfect for a photo with the Eiffel Tower in the background.

Despite the fire, Notre-Dame remains a symbol of Paris. Cathedral is temporarily closed but even if you can’t go inside, the exterior and the surrounding area are worth a visit. If you take a walk around it you can take some photos of the stunning architecture.

You can’t come to Paris without seeing the Eiffel Tower. Whether you go all the way to the top or just admire it from below, it’s absolutely magical. The best time to visit is at night when it lights up and sparkles every hour. I recommend purchasing tickets ahead of time, especially if you want to go up to the summit.

This cute little side street is filled with colorful houses painted in pastel pinks, blues, greens, and yellows, making it a good spot for a picture. There are 'no photography' signs and people live here, so always be mindful.

Rue Montorgueil is a pedestrian street filled with bakeries, cheese shops, cafés, and fresh markets. This is the perfect spot for a morning walk or find a good café and enjoy the Parisian vibe.

This avenue is one of the most iconic streets in Paris, and also one of the longest you’ll ever see. Filled with high end shopping, you can take a walk at night and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Arc de Triomphe.

This garden is a hidden gem for nature and photography lovers and it features a unique mix of styles: a Japanese garden with authentic lodges straight from Japan, a classic French formal garden, and an elegant English garden. What makes it special is the way color plays a key role. At night, the garden transforms into a magical space, with 450 spotlights illuminating the paths.

This is one of the best parks in Paris. It’s the perfect place to walk your dog, have a picnic or go for jogging. You’ll find a couple of spots to grab drinks and public restrooms conveniently located, making it easy to spend a few hours here without a worry. The pavilion by the lake has the most beautiful views, especially around sunset.

Absolutely beautiful, one of my favorite places in Paris. The garden is beautifully designed and very well maintained. It's a great spot to take pictures. Make sure you check when the fountains are working.

The Louvre is massive and packed with incredible art, from the Mona Lisa to ancient sculptures. It’s a must-see, but definitely plan your visit so you don’t get overwhelmed. The building itself is gorgeous but you’ll have to wait about 20 minutes to get to the Mona Lisa. Also be aware of pickpockets in that area.

This museum is absolutely beautiful. It’s inside a historic train station, which gives it such a unique charm. Honestly, I love it even more than the Louvre. The collection is incredible, with masterpieces from Van Gogh, Monet, and so many more. And the iconic clock inside? So stunning. You don’t even need to book tickets in advance because the line isn’t too bad.

For a true Parisian dining experience, Bouillon offers delicious French food in a historic, wood-paneled setting. The classic decor and traditionally dressed waiters create an authentic bistro atmosphere. The best part? It’s very affordable, making it a great place to enjoy French cuisine without spending too much.

Great Texan Barbecue restaurant offers meat cooked at low temperature for several hours. The meat is tasty, tender and succulent, a little piece of Texas in Paris. It seems that everything is homemade. Food is outstanding, particularly the brisket.

If you love éclairs, this is the spot. Éclair de Génie takes this classic French pastry to a whole new level with stunning designs and unique flavors. The passion fruit éclair is out of this world, with a perfect balance of sweetness and flavor. The shop is small but beautifully arranged, and each éclair looks like a piece of art. A bit pricey, but absolutely worth it.
